It’s been a busy month or so for WRR so I thought a quick news roundup would be useful.
The CC6 season is now well underway. Many thanks to those who came to help host the first race at Hamble in September, and we had a good turn out for the men’s team for our first race as participants at Ocknell. (Less success with the pop up tent without Richard there to take charge). Next up is Roundhill on the 8th November, hope to see many of you there.

Several WRR members took part in the Winchester half-marathon in late September (pictured), with a particularly respectable showing from Peter Ramm – of course that was just the warm up for his Berlin Marathon a week later, coming in at a fantastic 3:20:25. Well done Peter, but you’ve set the bar high for Boston…
Lots of other races going on at this time of year – a PB half marathon for Imy in Bath, and David was once again flying the flag in the Clarendon. Aside from the regular background heartbeat of local parkruns Richard managed an impressive tourist visit to Opole parkrun in Poland! Apologies for any other outings I’ve doubtless forgotten.
In terms of upcoming events, several members are already signed up for the Winchester and Eastleigh 10ks in spring – note that Eastleigh in particular is usually a sell out if you’re considering joining us, but places were still available last time I looked.
The club AGM was held on 22nd of October – a number of matters discussed including some updates to the committee. This probably deserves it’s own post, so watch this space…
