Third race of the Summer
The third ‘road running’ race of the shortened season took place at Manor Farm near the river Hamble. With a hefty amount of tree roots to watch out for and some sneaky hills, this was a tough course that needed some concentration to avoid taking a fall. However it is scenic with some wide country lanes and woodland paths forming the bulk of the route plus running along the river itself.
Five runners again took part to make up a solid looking team. Jim and Dave S both ran strongly again. Phil ran much better than the last time he ran this course all the way back in October of 2019 (which was his debut RR10). After taking in the sites in London town in a half marathon on Sunday Dave H ran well, with Doug skillfully navigating the roots, branches and slippery steps to make sure the entire team finished safely!
Overall attendance appears to have gone up slightly after the first couple of races so this was good to see. Two races are left with Cadland in the New Forest next up.
