What sort of running club is this? Welcoming, friendly and small. A perfect low cost club for those wanting to attend the CC6 and RR10 events and enjoy some social running in Winchester.

Do I need to be a fast or experienced runner? Absolutely not. Wessex Road Runners is open to all.

Do you have social runs? Yes! We meet at the Queen Inn, Winchester at 19:30 on Mondays for a run followed by a drink. Typical distance and pace is 8km at 6:30/km.

What about coaching? We do not currently provide any coaching.

Are there any joining fees? Currently, individual membership is £25/year £35 for family membership, this includes your entry to the sixteen local races AND membership of the Association of Running Clubs.

Do you compete in races? Yes! We are part of the South-Hampshire running clubs that stage the RR10 summer races and winter CC6 races. We have historically entered teams in the South Downs Relay.

Do I have to buy any kit to run with you? You don’t have to, unless you want to compete in an RR10 or CC6, but we’re rather proud of our new kit. Check out our kit page
