An excellent Wessex turnout for a local race for many of us. A slightly damp walk to the start but otherwise conditions were pretty good for the remainder of the race, brightening up as the run went on.
Seven Wessex runners finished (Chris, Peter, Andrew, Kevin, Gary, David and myself) with Peter finishing first and therefore retaining his trophy. He was pushed hard by Andrew though, setting up a heated rivalry (not in an ice hockey way) for the upcoming season.
A special shout out to Gary who was part of the charity Trinity Winchester group, running with some of those that the charity has supported.
