The weather was fantastic for this year’s Eastleigh 10K, Spring had truly sprung with perfect conditions for a quick time on an already fast course. The event, as always, was well organised and being held for the 41st time. It was very busy with 2500 runners taking part.
Eight of those were running from Wessex, with Archie making his debut. I was running a taxi service from Winchester and managed to squeeze five into my car. We had a lovely walk in the sunshine from an Eastleigh car park to the start of the race.
Seven runners home with Archie’s knee unfortunately giving up at 3Km – meaning he had a long way back to the start on the out and back course. Andrew ran a cracking time of just over 42 minutes and deserving of his post race, Wetherspoons’ refreshment.
