A busy time for Wessex runners racing across three events on the same day. Spring had truly arrived with morning sunshine and fine weather to start the day.

Kevin ran in the Reading half marathon (not for the first time), surviving a near death experience at around the 9km mark. A time of 2:11, not a PB but happy with the time.

The Eastleigh 10k proved popular with five Wessex runners competing – Phil, Andrew, David H and Mike. Pick of the runners however was Jay with a blistering time of 37:13 (even managing a negative split).

I ran the Overton Harriers organised Combe Gibbet race (setting off from a set of gallows), 16 miles off road through the Berkshire / Hampshire countryside. Hard going, lots of hills but thoroughly enjoyed it – apart from the 14:00 start.
A mention to Peter and Imy who recently ran half marathons in Bath and Cambridge respectively.
