Extremely solid showing by Wessex at Badger Farm. The flag got an outing for the first time in months and the debut of the new tent, which was easier to put up than it was to take down, also has its moment in the winter sun. We had a strong team result and Imy was making her CC6 bow with a great effort in what was to prove very difficult running conditions for all.
The race started extremely poorly on my behalf as I’d forgotten my running watch, but I was glad that Jay was on hand with a spare running belt which enabled me to use my phone. The course was a familiar one but was extremely slippery which made some of the turns hazardous in the extreme, something Andrew found out, as he took half of Whiteshute Ridge back home with him.
Results in order of Jay, Phil, Andrew, Imy, Kevin and David. Actual placings aren’t available yet, but this was an encouraging turn out and the last race is on the 2nd of March back again at Itchen country park, see you all then!
